DJ Morella

Denis Walpuski, aka Morella, was born in 1981 in Hannover and grew up in Barsinghausen. He is a DJ, producer, and the founder and owner of the event agency of the same name.

His journey as a DJ began in 1999 at the Hannover-based Club Zaza – the first step in a successful career in the club scene. Morella quickly made a name for himself and played in renowned clubs such as the legendary Palo Palo. This venue hosted big names like Mousse T., Tom Jones, and Mick Hucknall (Simply Red), who either performed on stage or enjoyed the club’s unique spirit as guests, earning it an excellent reputation across Europe.

In 2008, Morella was appointed as the resident DJ and musical mastermind for the event series “remmidemmi” at Faust e.V. in Hannover-Linden. Initiated by Benjamin Völksen (YIPPIEE MUSIC), this party series was an innovative blend of house and electro sounds, adapting to the ever-evolving party scene. With a constantly changing setup creating a living room atmosphere and featuring high-profile guest artists such as Filtertypen, Benny Ferkel, Rainer Schumann (Fury in the Slaughterhouse), and Malente (Claptone), “remmidemmi” became one of the most sought-after and award-winning party series in Hannover and beyond.

As the host and DJ of the Morella Music Radio Show on Leinehertz 106.5, he presented artists from Hannover and his event agency once a month. Guests like Rainer Schumann (Fury in the Slaughterhouse) and numerous local DJs took part in interviews and showcased their own music sets.

Morella captivates a broad audience with his sets. Influenced by funk & soul, RnB, pop, house, and electro, he skillfully blends these genres into unique soundscapes. His performances span across Europe, covering not only clubs but also exclusive events, corporate parties, and weddings, where well-known international companies rely on his expertise.

In his live sets, he frequently collaborates with other musicians, incorporating instruments such as saxophone or drums to create an even more immersive musical experience. Additionally, he produces music together with his friend and fellow DJ Jojo, which is available on all major streaming platforms.

Social Club – A Special Passion Project

Since its inception, Morella has not only been the DJ of the Social Club but also the creative mind behind its innovative concept, which uniquely blends networking and clubbing. The event begins with a socializing phase, where guests can get to know each other in a playful way, before seamlessly transitioning into an electrifying clubbing atmosphere. Morella’s music is a key element in creating the special vibe of these events, delivering unforgettable nights with his versatile sets.

The Social Club has now expanded to multiple cities across Germany, including Hannover, Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, Düsseldorf, and Stuttgart. Particularly in Hannover, at exclusive venues such as the HAVN Rooftop Bar, the event has built a loyal following. For Morella, this format is more than just a DJ gig – it is a platform where he can merge his passion for music and community.
